How to Make Cream Cheese Caramel Dip on a Stove Top

Aunt Lou here.

Whether you are looking for the perfect autumn or winter treat or a little something extra for your spring or summer apple snack, this Creamy Cheese Caramel dip is perfect year round. We love to make it at our house for a sweet treat, but it is also absolutely devoured when I take this to a potluck. It is such a delicious dip!

If you are new around here, you may be wondering why we have a stove top recipe on a crock pot recipe site. The reason for this is that our readers have asked us time and time again for different ways to make their favorite crock pot recipes. We love providing our readers with multiple ways to make a recipe so they can make it in whatever way works best for their timing and situation.

Where I live, I do not have caramel baking bits available without driving a town or two away to buy them. If you happen to live in an area where they are available, Cris has had good experiences using them in dip recipes. Do note that the cooking time will be shorter since the caramel baking bits are smaller than the caramels I am using in this recipe.

(If this recipe sounds good to you, but you would rather make it in your crock pot, you can find the original recipe here.)

  1. I havenโ€™t tried this yet, but I already know Iโ€™ll love it! What could go wrong with caramel and cream cheese? Your recipes are awesome, one of our favorites is the cheesy meatloaf ( not correct title sorry). Right now I am looking for anything pineapple! Keep up the good work!
