How to Make Cream Cheese Cinnamon Roll Casserole in an Oven
Aunt Lou here.
This Cream Cheese Cinnamon Roll Casserole is such an easy recipe to put together. Not only that, it is also incredibly tasty! It would be perfect for when you have overnight guests you want to treat or for when you want to treat yourself. The leftovers of this casserole are just as delicious as when it first came out of the oven.
When you make this, there will be some pieces of cream cheese that do not fully mix in. I love having the cream cheese pieces throughout the casserole. However, if that does not sound good to you, you could use a mixer to mix the first ingredients together (BEFORE you add in the cinnamon rolls, don’t use a mixer with the cinnamon rolls) and to blend the cream cheese in more. Whatever way you decide to make this recipe, I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Cream Cheese Cinnamon Roll Casserole (Oven Recipe)
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1/2 cup non-fat PLAIN Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 8 oz cream cheese cubed
- 24 oz tubes of cinnamon rolls quartered (2 – 12 oz tubes)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Mix together 2/3 cup brown sugar (packed), 1/2 cup butter (melted), 1/2 cup non-fat PLAIN Greek yogurt or sour cream, 1 tablespoon vanilla and 8 oz cream cheese (cut into small cubes) in a big bowl
- Cut 24 oz tubes of cinnamon rolls into quarters (meaning you need to cut each cinnamon roll into 4 pieces), add the cinnamon roll pieces to the bowl and gently toss until the cinnamon roll pieces are well coated. (Set aside the icing from the cinnamon roll tubes.)
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, turning your baking dish halfway through the cooking time if your oven does not cook evenly. (The casserole is done when the cinnamon roll pieces are golden and the middle is set.)
- Let it cool for 10 minutes and top with your reserved icing packs and serve.
Notes
- When you mix together all of your ingredients, there will be clumps of cream cheese in your mixture. That’s okay! They will be nice little cream cheese surprises when you eat it!
