What You Will Need for Crock Pot Bourbon Chicken for Two

Ingredients Needed

  • 1/2 lb boneless, skinless chicken, cubed
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup bourbon or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Rice, prepared

  • Cooking Time: 2 hours on low or 1 hour on high, stirring halfway through cooking time

    Ingredients

    Instructions

    • Spray your crock pot with cooking spray.
    • Place your chicken pieces in your 2.5 quart or 3 quart or 4 quart crock pot.
    • Mix together remaining ingredients (except for cornstarch, water and rice) until well blended.
    • Pour over chicken.
    • Cover and cook for 2 hours on low or 1 hour on high, stirring halfway through cooking.
    • *Note: If you need a longer cook time, don't cut your chicken until just before serving.*
    • Remove your chicken from your slow cooker and keep warm.
    • Mix together your cornstarch and water in a small bowl or coffee cup.
    • Pour your sauce and cornstarch mixture into a saucepan on your stove over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
    • Turn your stove down to a simmer, stirring your sauce frequently until your sauce reaches the desired thickness.
    • Once sauce is thickened, stir chicken in with sauce and serve chicken on a bed of rice drizzled with the sauce.
