This Crock Pot Savory Sweet Chicken for Two was an instant favorite in my house. I maybe, sorta, kinda already knew that would be the case since they loved it when I made the original recipe. ๐Ÿ˜‰ (If you need more servings, you can find that original recipe here.) I was more than happy to adjust this recipe for those who only need two servings. Everyone should be able to enjoy this deliciousness whether they need eight servings or two servings! It is so good! In addition to being incredibly yummy, it is also easy to throw together, and, on top of that, it cooks up really fast. So, this means you can even enjoy this on a weeknight!

What You Will Need for Crock Pot Savory Sweet Chicken for Two

Ingredients Needed

  • 2 chicken thighs, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons your favorite bbq sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 clove minced garlic
  • White rice, prepared (My family’s favorite is basmati rice, but your can use your favorite white rice.)

  • Prep Time: 7 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 2 hours and 20 minutes to 3 hours on low or 1 hour 10 minutes to 1.5 hours on high, turning your insert halfway through cooking time if your slow cooker does not cook evenly

  • Trim your chicken and place it in the bottom of a 2.5 quart or 4 quart slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, mix together the rest of your ingredients, except your prepared rice, and pour over chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 2 hours and 20 minutes to 3 hours on low or 1 hour and 10 minutes to 1.5 hours on high, turning your insert halfway through cooking if your slow cooker does not cook evenly.
  • Serve chicken over a bed of rice with the cooking juices spooned over top of everything.
