Aunt Lou here.

As you know, my nickname around here is Sugar Princess. There is a reason for that. I love a delicious dessert or sweet treat. This Crock Pot Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake is as good as any cookie cake you get from a bakery. I mean, come on, it is a made from scratch cookie cake, what isn’t to love?! Better yet? It is easy to make!

For this recipe, I used the Original Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe. It is the BEST recipe in my book, so I am not going to mess with a good thing. The only change I am making is making it so you can cRock this recipe!

If you have kids, this is a great recipe for your kids to get involved. My kids love helping me in the kitchen. This past weekend we made a cake, and they were loving it! So, when Cris and I were thinking of recipes for me to make and this one came up, I knew I was going to get the kids in on putting this one together. While we are at home together, making memories like the ones we made while putting this Crock Pot Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake together are what make staying at home fun. I highly recommend it. If you don’t have kids, but have a roommate, make it together! Have some fun in the kitchen!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Mix together your flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl until well combined and set aside
  • In your mixing bowl (different bowl), beat your butter, brown sugar, vanilla and sugar together until well combined
  • Beat in your eggs one and a time
  • Slowly add in your flour mixture from step 1 until well combined
  • Add in your chocolate chips by gently stirring them in
  • Spread your cookie dough across a lightly greased 6-quart slow cooker with the sides a little higher than the middle since the sides will cook faster
  • Put a couple paper towels underneath your lid and pull on the sides at the same time so it is snug (this keeps the condensation from dropping onto your cookie) and cook on high for 1-1.5 hours (mine was done at about an hour and 20 minutes), turning your insert halfway through if your slow cooker doesn't cook evenly
  • Once the middle of your cookie cake is set, remove insert and flip your cookie cake onto a cooling rack for 20 minutes before placing on a cutting board and cutting it into bars

Hello!! This recipe was so tasty!!! It was warm and gooey and exactly what our tastebuds needed!! I will say, I used a crockpot brand casserole size crockpot (not sure the size of it) and it took ours about 2 hours to cook thoroughly if that helps someone else out ๐Ÿ™‚
