How to Make King Ranch Chicken Casserole in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

As our readers from the South here in the US know, King Ranch Chicken Casserole is a long time favorite. However, there may be some of you that were like me and had never heard of it. When Cris told me to figure out how to make a Crock Pot King Ranch Chicken Casserole recipe, I had to look it up. I had never heard of it before! I am so glad she told me to make this! It is divine! I totally get why it is a long time favorite in the South!

Now, if you have been making this in the oven for a while, you may be asking why I didn’t saute the onions and peppers before hand. I wanted to make this recipe as easy as possible. While there are a ton of ingredients and quite a few steps, this recipe is not hard. If you are new to cooking, just take it one step at a time, you can do this! Easy, not too spicy or too mushy for picky kid, Fed 3 adults as dinner with 1 serving left over with no sides/breads. Used a rotisserie chicken from grocery to speed up prep a little.
