How to Make Raisin Cinnamon Roll Casserole in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

A long time reader favorite on our site is Cris’ Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll Casserole. To be perfectly honest, this here Sugar Princess was always a bit jealous that Cris had made this recipe first. So, when one of our readers, Kelly, said she added raisins to the recipe, I knew I had to try it. You guys are going to love this Crock Pot Raisin Cinnamon Roll Casserole. It is incredibly yummy and super easy to throw together!

I used my casserole crock pot for this recipe. However, if you do not have one and want to use a 6 quart slow cooker, you totally can. In the original recipe, Cris used one of her 6 quart units, and it turned out just fine. However, I would not recommend using a crock pot smaller than 6 quarts. It would most likely burn the outside edges before the middle set up.

Whether you use a casserole crock pot or a 6 quart slow cooker, I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do!

  1. If I cut the recipe in half, can I cook it in my 4 qt. crock pot?

I haven’t tried cutting this recipe in half and cooking it in a 4 quart slow cooker. I have only cooked this in a casserole crock pot. My concern with making even half the recipe in a 4 quart is that it would be pretty thick, which would make it hard for the center to get done. It might possibly work, but only if you have a 4 quart that you are positive does not cook hot. If it cooks hot, then the edges will burn before the center cooks. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
