Whether you are having a rough week, it is freezing outside or you just need an easy dinner idea, this Crock Pot Smothered Beef Tips recipe is a great one to make for dinner. The only prep work that takes a few minutes is a little peeling, cubing and chopping. Everything else in this recipe is just dump and go, including the beef tips!
Normally, when I do a beef recipe, I recommend cooking on low and low only. However, this recipe actually gives you fall-apart tender beef tips even when cooked on high. So, whether you need to put dinner on around lunch time or put it on in the morning, this recipe has you covered! In either case, you will have a delicious, comforting meal waiting for you at dinner time. As an added bonus, your home will smell great!

What You Will Need for Crock Pot Smothered Beef Tips
Ingredients Needed
- 2 lbs beef tips or stew meat
- 10.75 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 small white onion, chopped
- 15 oz can corn, undrained
- 5 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Equipment Needed
- Can opener
- Spoon
- Sharp knife
- Cutting board
- Vegetable peeler
- Measuring spoon
- 6 Quart Crock Pot
- Stirring spatula
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cooking Time: 6 to 8 hours on low or 3 to 4 hours on high, stirring halfway through the cooking time if your slow cooker does not cook evenly

Crock Pot Smothered Beef Tips
Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef tips or stew beef cubes
- 10.75 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 15 oz can corn undrained
- 5 medium Russet Potatoes peeled and cubed
- 2 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Put 2 lbs beef tips , 10.75 oz can cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 cup onion (chopped), 15 oz can corn (undrained), 5 medium Russet Potatoes (peeled and cubed), 2 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and Salt and Pepper to taste in the bottom of a 6 Quart Crock Pot and stir until mixed well. (Make sure your potatoes are down in the liquid.)
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
