Sometimes you need a good meal that does not take a long time to make. This Easy Chicken Tostada Pie recipe is just that. The ingredients in this meld so well together to give you a flavorful meal that is also filling and topped with delicious melted cheese. It is a favorite around here whether it is made in the crock pot or the oven.
This dish is not only yummy, it is also easy to throw together. It comes together and bakes up quickly. So, it is great for a night when you do not have much time to cook, or if you just want something easy to make.

What You Will Need for Easy Chicken Tostada Pie
Ingredients Needed
- 3 burrito size tortillas
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken, cooked and cubed
- 3/4 cup salsa
- 2.25 oz can sliced black olives, drained
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 cups Mexican style blend shredded cheese, divided
- Garnish: sour cream, sliced green onions
Equipment Needed
- Whatever you need to cook your chicken the way you want
- Sharp knife
- Cutting board
- Measuring cups
- Can opener
- Can colander
- Measuring spoon
- Large bowl
- Stirring spatula
- 9 inch pie pan
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 15 to 20 minutes
- Cooking Time: 17 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit, until your cheese reaches desired browning, turning your pie pan halfway through cooking if your oven does not cook evenly

Easy Chicken Tostada Pie (Oven Recipe)
Ingredients
- 3 burrito size flour tortillas divided
- 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken cooked and diced
- 3/4 cup salsa
- 2.25 oz can sliced black olives drained
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 cup Mexican style shredded cheese divided
- Garnish: sour cream sliced green onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a bowl, mix together your cooked chicken cubes, salsa, olives, cumin and 1 cup of cheese.
- Lay your first tortilla in the bottom of a lightly greased 9 inch pie pan.
- Spoon half of your chicken mixture on top of your first tortilla.
- Top with a tortilla and repeat the layers with remaining chicken and tortilla.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Bake for 17-20 minutes, until your cheese has reached desired browning. (If your oven doesn't cook evenly, turn your pie pan halfway through cooking time.)
- Cut into pieces like a pie and served with sour cream and sliced green onions, if desired.
