How to Make Easy Chicken and Potatoes in a Crock Pot

My dear readers, I have a treat for you today! This Easy Crock Pot Chicken and Potatoes recipe can be made with just a pack of chicken, some potatoes and ingredients you most likely already have in your spice rack! Want to know what makes it even better, it is super simple to put together AND tastes great!
I have really been in a “let’s make this super simple” frame of mind lately when it comes to recipes. It seems that everyone is stressed these days. (I am not the only one…right?) So, if I can think up some recipes that use ingredients you most likely already have in your home and save you a trip to the store, I am more than happy to do so! I am all about making things simple and delicious for you (and me and my family since we get to try it out first 😉 )! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do!
What You Will Need
Ingredients Needed
- 1.5 lbs chicken tenders (You can use chicken breasts if you prefer and cut them into strips.)
- 4 medium Russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt, divided
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder, divided
- salt and pepper to taste (I always start with a little and add more as needed. If the flavors do not pop, adding a small pinch of salt will help bring the flavors out.)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder, divided
- 1 teaspoon paprika, divided
Equipment Needed
- Vegetable peeler
- Sharp knife
- Cutting board
- Measuring spoons
- 6 quart slow cooker
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 minutes (or less)
- Cooking Time: 4 to 6 hours on low or 2 to 3 hours on high

Easy Crock Pot Chicken and Potatoes
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken tenders (You can use chicken breasts if you prefer and cut them into strips.)
- 4 medium Russet Potatoes peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt divided
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder divided
- 1 teaspoon onion powder divided
- 1 teaspoon paprika divided
- Salt and Pepper to taste (I always start with a little and add more as needed. If the flavors do not pop, adding a small pinch of salt will help bring the flavors out.)
Instructions
- Spread out your peeled and sliced potatoes in the bottom of your 6 quart slow cooker.
- Sprinkle potatoes with half of all your spices.
- Place your chicken on top of everything.
- Sprinkle remaining spices on top of your chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, turning your insert halfway through if your slow cooker does not cook evenly.
