  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1 1/8 cup black beans, drained
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes with chilies, undrained
  • 3/4 cup salsa (You can use your favorite brand and style.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/4 cups Mexican blend shredded cheese, divided
  • Cooking spray
  • Doritos

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking Time: approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes on low or 45 minutes on high, turning your insert halfway through cooking if your slow cooker does not cook evenly

    Ingredients

    Instructions

    • Brown your ground beef with your onion and drain.
    • Put your browned ground beef, black beans, salsa, garlic powder, soup, tomatoes and 1/4 cup of shredded cheese in a mixing bowl and stir until well combined.
    • Spread your mixture in a lightly greased 2.5 quart to 4 quart slow cooker.
    • Top with remaining cheese.
    • Cover and cook on low for about 1.5 hours or high for about 45 minutes, turning your insert halfway through if your slow cooker does not cook evenly, it is done when your cheese is completely melted.
    • Serve hot over a bed of crushed Doritos.
