I was trying to come up with a new recipe idea and saw our Crock Pot Garlic Chicken Thighs, which was a huge hit around here. I thought it might be good with a pork loin (with a little change). I was actually wrong, it is not just good, it is incredible! The pork loin just fell apart, so it because this Garlic Crock Pot Pulled Pork recipe.

This recipe is great on its own. Seriously, the flavor is just awesome. My oldest had the idea of serving it over rice, and that worked really well. I think it could also be great in a wrap or on a bun. I would love to hear what your ideas are for this in the comments below!

What You Will Need for Garlic Crock Pot Pulled Pork

Ingredients Needed

  • 4 lb boneless, pork loin
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried cilantro leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • Optional: prepared rice, for serving

Equipment Needed

  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Garlic press
  • Measuring spoons
  • Butter knife
  • Cutting board
  • Microwaveable bowl (for melting your butter)
  • Whisk
  • 6 Quart Slow Cooker
  • Large cutting board
  • Two forks
  • Whatever you need to prepare your favorite rice, if you plan on serving with rice

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 7 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 6 to 8 hours on low, rotating your insert halfway through the cooking time, if your slow cooker does not cook evenly

  • Place 4 lb boneless pork loin in a 6 Quart Slow Cooker, fat side up.
  • Whisk together your 1 cup butter (melted), 2 teaspoons minced garlic, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 2 teaspoons garlic salt, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon parsley flakes, 1 teaspoon dried cilantro leaves, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper until completely combined.
  • Pour the butter mixture evenly over your pork loin.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • Once the pork loin is fork tender, place it on large cutting board and shred with two forks.
  • Serve on its own or over a bed of Prepared rice, if desired.
