How to Make Good Gravy Steak in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

Ever since Momma came up with the original Good Gravy Crock Pot Chicken recipe, I have been trying this recipe with all different kinds of meats and even have a stew recipe, potato recipe and a casserole! It is amazing. (You can find all our Good Gravy recipes here.) This Good Gravy Crock Pot Steak recipe can be put together in a matter of minutes, which makes it a great one to throw on in the morning. They are great by themselves or served over rice.

If you are making this for more than 4 people or want leftovers, you can use two flat iron steaks. I was kicking myself for not using two after I saw my kiddos gobbling up the meal and asking if we could have it again. There is plenty of gravy for more meat. If you do use two steaks, the cooking time will be more toward the 6 hours mark or possibly a bit longer, depending on your slow cooker unit. As always, whether you are using one steak or two, you will want to watch it closely the first time you make it to find the best cooking time for your specific crock pot. It is done when the steaks are fork tender.
