Our Crock Pot Bourbon Chicken recipe is a family favorite (and friend favorite!) around our house. It always seems to be gone too fast! I couldn’t wait to try this recipe out in my Instant Pot. One of our favorite recipes, only faster! Yes, please! I bet if you give this recipe a try, it will be an instant favorite for you as well. Now, the step at the end to thicken the sauce does take a little bit of effort (you know I like easy recipes!), but it is totally worth it! Trust me!

- This recipe can be made in any 6 quart electric pressure cooker including: Instant Pot, Ninja Foodi and Crock Pot Express.
- If you use an 8-quart electric pressure cooker, you may want to use an extra 1/2 cup of broth to help bring it up to pressure.

Instant Pot Bourbon Chicken Recipe
Instant Pot Bourbon Chicken
Ingredients
- 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken cut into bite-size pieces
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or bourbon
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoon dried minced onions
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1 tablespoon water
- rice prepared
Instructions
- Place your chicken pieces in your 6-quart instant pot
- Mix together remaining ingredients (except for cornstarch, water and rice) until well blended
- Pour over chicken
- Seal and cook on manual high for 6 minutes and quick release.
- Remove your chicken from your instant pot and keep warm
- Mix together your cornstarch and water in a coffee cup
- Pour your sauce and cornstarch mixture back into your instant pot, turn on saute and bring to a boil
- Simmer, stirring your sauce frequently until your sauce reaches the desired thickness
- Serve your chicken on a bed of rice drizzled with the sauce

Absolutely delicious! My daughter (9 YO) is very picky, so finding things she’ll eat is always difficult. She always gets bourbon chicken when we have Chinese,, but I never thought to make it at home. Found this recipe a couple of weeks ago and just made it tonight. It’s a hit! We made it with the broth, not bourbon. Now I just wish I had made more, for more leftovers!
