  1. โ€œOne Pound pinto beansโ€. Is that one pound before or after soaking?

    1. 5 stars
It is measurement when dry. One pound (or 16 oz) will be the measurement on the bag of beans you buy. Enjoy!

  2. Can this be done with great northern beans?

    1. 5 stars
I haven’t tried this with great northern beans, but think it could work. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out!

  3. Hi, will canned beans work too?

    1. 5 stars
      Hi Brenda!

I haven’t tried this recipe with canned beans. If you do, you will want to adjust the ingredients to account for the extra liquid and adjust the cooking time. If you give it a try, let me know what changes you made and how it goes!

Hi! Quick question on this one…since it’s in the Instant Pot do I still need to soak the beans overnight? Just wondering if this is just a boo boo in the instructions. ๐Ÿ˜Š
