If you are looking for a great new cookbook that has all kinds of easy to make recipes, including several great slow cooker recipes? Gooseberry Patch’s Mom Knows Best Cookbook is the latest edition from my favorite cookbook line. If you have been around here long, you know that I have MAD love for Gooseberry Patch. I have always loved their cookbook collections and so when they sent me a few copies of Mom Knows Best, I couldn’t wait to dig in and get to cooking. (Psst… scroll down to the bottom to enter to win a copy).
Right away, I knew the book was speaking my language when none of the recipes hit on two things I absolutely love as busy mom… Crock pot cooking AND freezer cooking!
These Homemade Frozen Meatballs are the perfect solution for me. My freezer is stocked with great meatballs to whip up with some spaghetti or use as finger foods at my next get-together. Easy time-saving recipes are always appreciated in this house!
When a book includes no-fuss recipes like Creamy Italian Chicken, I know it is my kind of book. Simple and delicious. And, something the family will eat.
Last night my husband said that these Crock Pot Chicken Ranch Nachos were by far–of all the time I have been blogging– his favorite recipe I have made to date. The were totally inspired by the combination of two recipes in Mom Knows Best — the nachos in the book and the recipe below. Oh and P.S. if you have never tried Ranch Dressing with Taco Sauce, you are missing out!
Crock Pot Chicken Fiesta and Beans
Crock Pot Chicken Fiesta and Beans is totally a favorite in this house and on our repeat menu!
Aunt Lou tried her hand at Homemade Crock Pot Meatballs from the book and just loved the results.
These Crock Pot Pizza Burgers are a great example of the tricks this book has up its sleeve. I thought we had made pizza every way possible and then comes this brilliant idea to make it into a loose meat sandwich for the slow cooker. Such a fantastic idea.
Shredded Buffalo Chicken Sliders
Shredded Buffalo Chicken Sliders are another great idea that makes the prep of food for the family or for a crowd and absolute cinch with the help of Mom Knows Best Cookbook.

I am anxious to try the Freezer Meatballs. I love meatballs but often get a taste for them but don’t have time to make them right then so taking a few out of the freezer would be perfect.
