The base recipe for this Ninja Foodi 3 Ingredient Chicken is a favorite around here. Not only is it incredibly simple to make, it is a great, flavorful, comfort food dish. What You Will Need for Ninja Foodi 3 Ingredient Chicken (Electric Pressure Cooking Recipe)
Ingredients Needed
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into thigh size pieces), trimmed
- 1 oz gravy packet
- 1 oz ranch dip mix packet
- 1 cup water
- Optional: prepared rice
Equipment Needed
- Sharp knife
- Cutting board
- Small cup or bowl
- Measuring cup
- Fork or small whisk
- Stirring spatula
- Ninja Foodi trivet
- Metal bowl that will hold all the ingredients and fit in your Ninja Foodi with the pressure cooker lid on while sitting on the trivet
- 1 1/2 cups water (to go in the insert, not in the bowl with the ingredients)
- 6.5 quart Ninja Foodi
- Oven mitts
- Hot pad
- Two forks
- Whatever you need to prepare your favorite rice, if desired
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 3 to 5 minutes
- Cooking Time: 15 minutes on high pressure
- Natural Release Time: 15 minutes

- We’ve tested this recipe in a 6 quart Instant Pot and 6.5 quart Ninja Foodi. When pressure cooking with larger pressure cookers, you may need to add 1/2 cup to 1 cup more liquid to reach pressure. Make sure not to overfill smaller pressure cookers past their max lines.

Ninja Foodi 3 Ingredient Chicken (Electric Pressure Cooker Recipe)
Ingredients
- 2 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or chicken breasts cut into thigh size pieces)
- 1 oz gravy packet
- 1 oz ranch packet
- 1 cup water
- Prepared rice if desired
Instructions
- Put your trivet in the bottom of your 6.5 quart Ninja Foodi insert (or 6 quart electric pressure cooker) and pour in 1 1/2 cups of water in the insert.
- Place your chicken in a metal bowl that will hold all the ingredients and fit in your Ninja Foodi with the pressure cooker lid on while the bowl is sitting on the trivet.
- In a small bowl, mix together your gravy and ranch packets with your water and pour over your chicken.
- Seal and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
- Natural release for 15 minutes.
- Using oven mitts, remove metal bowl and place on a hot pad.
- Use two forks to shred your chicken, being careful to not touch the bowl with your skin before the bowl cools.
- If desired, serve shredded chicken and cooking juices over a bed of prepared rice.
