How to Make Chicken Quesadillas in a Ninja Foodi Using the Air Crisp Function
Aunt Lou here.
These Ninja Foodi Chicken Quesdillas were an instant favorite in my house, and my family has asked me to make them again repeatedly. One of the great things about this recipe is that after you do the prep work, you can make what you need right then and put any remaining ingredients in the fridge so you can make a fresh one later.
These chicken quesadillas uses one of our favorite recipes, Ninja Foodi Taco Chicken Tenders, cut into small cube pieces. Personally, I like to make up my chicken ahead of time and dice my green and red pepper. By doing that prep work ahead of time, I just have to assemble my quesadillas while my Ninja Foodi is preheating, and dinner is ready in no time at all!

Ninja Foodi Taco Chicken Tenders (Air Fryer Recipe)
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Chicken Tenders
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes.
- Put your chicken tenders in a gallon size baggie, pour in your extra virgin olive oil, close baggie and gently shake the tenders around until all of them are coated.
- Open the baggie, sprinkle in your taco seasoning, close baggie, and gently shake until the tenders are well coated.
- Place 3 or 4 chicken tenders (you want one layer with them not touching) in your Ninja Foodi or 7 quart air fryer.
- Air fry for 4-5 minutes at 390 degrees. (The timing will depend on the size of your tenders. If they are smaller, start with 4 minutes. If they are large, start with 5 minutes.)
- Flip your chicken tenders and air fryer for an additional 4-5 minutes, until the internal temperature of your chicken tenders reaches at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Once one batch has completed cooking, place them on a plate and cover with aluminum foil while you wait for the other chicken tenders to cook.
- Repeat cooking time for remaining chicken tenders.
- You can serve them as they are or cut then into bite size pieces to be used in tacos, burritos, taco salad, quesadillas, etc.

Ninja Foodi Chicken Quesadillas (Air Fryer Recipe)
Ingredients
- 2 burrito size flour tortillas divided
- 1 cup cubed taco chicken (see recipe above)
- 4 tablespoons refried beans divided
- 4 tablespoons red bell pepper diced, divded
- 4 tablespoons green bell pepper diced, divided
- 1/2 cup Mexican Blend Shredded Cheese divided
Instructions
- If desired, place a silicone reusable liner on your air crisp plate, and preheat your Ninja Foodi or Air Fryer to 350 degrees for 3 minutes.
- Place one tortilla on a plate and evenly spread 2 tablespoons of refried beans on one half.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of diced red bell peppers, 2 tablespoons of diced green bell peppers and a half cup of cubed taco chicken evenly over refried beans.
- Evenly sprinkle 1/4 cup Mexican blend shredded cheese over everything, fold the tortilla in half and carefully place in on the air crisp plate in the Ninja Foodi.
- Prepare the second tortilla just like the first and place on the other side of the Ninja Foodi air crisp plate. (If a flatter quesadilla is desired, place a second silicone reusable liner on top of both quesadillas.)
- Close the lid, select the air crisp function and cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 4-5 minutes.
- Open the lid (remove the top silicone liner if you used one) and use heat safe gloves to carefully flip each quesadilla. If desired, place the top silicone liner back on top of both quesadillas.
- Close the lid, select the air crisp function and cook an additional 4-5 minutes at 350 degrees. It is done when the cheese is melted, the edges are golden and the tortilla is crisp. If desired, top with sour cream and/or guacamole and dip in salsa.
