How to Make Ranch Chicken and Green Beans for Two in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

I decided to take one of our family favorite crock pot recipes and try it out with two servings. As I expected, this Ranch Crock Pot Chicken and Green Beans for Two did not disappoint! It is incredibly easy to throw together and has such a delicious flavor. I also love that the green beans cook up right in the same crock pot at the chicken. The ranch flavor goes so well with both the chicken and the green beans, and, as an added bonus, less dishes for me to do once we have enjoyed this wonderful dish!

When you look at the ingredient list, you will see that the can of green beans is half drained. The reason for this is because the original recipe called for two cans of green beans with one drained. I drained half the liquid out to keep the liquid ratio about the same. If you want more liquid in your recipe, feel free to not drain your green beans. I would love to hear in the comments below if you give that a try!

(Psst…if you need more servings, you can find the original recipe here.)

I haven’t tried adding potatoes, but I think that would be a great addition and the seasoning should be enough. However, if you are worried about it, you might add another half teaspoon of seasoning. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!

Are the chicken thighs PRECOOKED before starting?

        Hi Penelope!

I did not cook the cubed chicken before putting them in the crock pot. I just cut the raw chicken thighs into cubes and put them in the crock pot. Since they are such small pieces and there isn’t a large quantity of them, they cook up very quickly. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do!
