If you are looking for great meal to serve on a night where you need dinner done in less than an hour, this Sloppy Joe Meatball Casserole is for you. It is so simple to throw together. I just love an easy recipe that everyone at my table eats happily.
There are only four ingredients in this wonderful casserole. You do not need to mix anything up. The hardest thing you will have to do is slice some cheese to put on top of the Manwich. This really is an easy recipe. So, if you are new to cooking and want a recipe that is pretty close to fool proof, give this one a try. On the other hand, if you have been cooking for years, you can probably do this recipe in your sleep. 😉
What You Will Need for Sloppy Joe Meatball Casserole
Ingredients Needed
- 32 oz bag frozen meatballs, thawed (You can use homestyle or Italian meatballs, whatever suits your fancy.)
- 30 oz Manwich (2 – 15 oz cans)
- 16 oz Velveeta, sliced
- 32 oz bag frozen tater tots, kept frozen
Equipment Needed
- Large bowl (You will use this to thaw the meatballs.)
- Can opener
- Spoon
- Sharp knife
- Cutting board
- 9 x 13 baking dish
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 minutes (or however long it takes your oven to preheat)
- Cooking Time: 30 to 40 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit, turning your baking dish halfway through the baking time if your oven does not cook evenly. It is done when your tater tots have reached desired crispness.

Sloppy Joe Meatball Casserole
Ingredients
- 32 oz Bag Frozen Meatballs thawed
- 30 oz Manwich or other Sloppy Joe Sauce (2 – 15 oz cans)
- 16 oz Velveeta sliced
- 32 oz frozen tater tots kept frozen
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Spread your thawed meatballs in the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.
- Spoon your Manwich evenly across the top of the meatballs.
- Place your sliced Velveeta evenly on the top of the sauce.
- Spread your tater tots evenly on top of everything.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, uncovered, turning your baking dish halfway through cooking if your oven does not cook evenly. It is done when your tater tots have reached desired crispness.
