One of our favorites is bbq chicken, macaroni salad, baked beans and fresh cut up mixed melons ( cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon).yummy!!
Calico Beans in the crock pot. (just got home from a party —none left over!) So simple in the crockpot. I brown 10 pounds of ground beef–well venison in my case and then seal in 1 pound packages. Pull out of the freezer and all set.
I do my applesauce canning with the Crockpot. I have 4 and can do large batches.
Fill one crock and go on to the next one.
No stirring or burning.
Turns out amazing every time.
My favorite is anything with Mississippi in it. Those are such unbelievably good recipes! Every time I serve one of those recipes, my family comments about them being restaurant meals!!!
I like to put a whole tri-tip roast in the the crockpot and cover it with a lg. jar of salsa ( Costco size) . I let it cook all day then pull apart with 2 forks and serve on french rolls.
I love cooking in a crock pot. Keeps the kitchen cooler, and uses less energy. I make many things in the crock pot. I’m a widow, and like to cook for several meals for myself, and most days share a meal with an older brother and his wife. Today I made goulash, the other day beef strogonoff. I don’t mind eating the same thing for several meals. Plus, with a slow cooker, I don’t have to worry about forgetting to turn off the stove or oven.
I love using a crock pot in the summer because you can get a good home cooked meal without heating up the entire kitchen. My favorites are roasted chicken with vegetables and standard Sunday favorite – roast.
I love making huge crockpots full of baked beans for all of our summer BBQ’s and family get together! So easy! Thanks for sharing tons of great recipes my family loves!
It probably sounds weird, but keep in mind that I keep my house on the cooler side of life. I love to make Southwestern Beef Stew year round in my slow cooker.

Pulled pork is a family favorite for bbqโs we host. So easy and good, and makes enough for a crowd, but can be โsized downโ if itโs just us.
