I love how simple this recipe is to make. It is the stove top version of Cris’ Crock Pot Cheeseburger Salad. If you want to eat this without a bun, then it is indeed low carb. However, if you eat low carb, you know adding the bun will most definitely make this recipe a non low carb recipe. So, you can make this recipe fit your personal wants and needs!
If you need to make this for a larger crowd, you could double up this recipe easily, however, you will need an extremely large skillet or a large pot.
What You Will Need
Ingredients Needed
- 2 lbs Ground Beef
- 2 Cloves Garlic minced
- 1 Shallot chopped (can substitute onion if desired)
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 12 Slices Deluxe Deli American Cheese chopped
- Buns
- Garnish: Pickles , Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, Tomatoes, Onion, Shredded Cheese, etc.
Equipment Needed
- Skillet and strainer or micro cooker (I love my on-pot strainer)
- Wooden spoon or meat chopper
- Measuring spoon
- Sharp knife
- Cutting board
- Garlic press
- Skillet (if you used a micro cooker to cook your ground beef)

Stove Top Loose Meat Cheeseburgers
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Ground Beef
- 2 Cloves Garlic minced
- 1 Shallot chopped (can substitute onion if desired)
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 12 Slices Deluxe Deli American Cheese chopped
- hamburger buns
- Garnish: Pickles , Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, Tomatoes, Onion, Shredded Cheese, etc.
Instructions
- Brown meat with garlic and shallots (or onion) in a large skillet or micro cooker.
- Drain and place meat in a large skillet if not already in one.
- Stir in cheese and cover for 2-3 minutes over medium heat
- Stir again and serve on buns with favorite cheeseburger toppings
