How to Make Garlic Chicken Thighs in an Air Fryer

Aunt Lou here.

So, I knew we were going to love this Air Fryer Garlic Chicken Thighs recipe’s flavor because we already love the flavor of my Crock Pot Garlic Chicken Thighs recipe. The butter mixture for this is also one that Michael has been using for years on the grill. It is just amazing!

I’m going to be perfectly honest with you. I am not entirely sure that the step of patting the chicken dry is necessary since I immediately put it in the melted butter mixture and then the air fryer. However, I always pat chicken dry with a paper towel before air frying, so I continued the process. I don’t know if it mattered with the end product, but my chicken turned out great, so I kept that step in the recipe. I hope yours turns out just as amazing and you enjoy it as thoroughly as we do!

Is it absolutely essential to use the bone in Chicken thighs? We prefer the boneless and skinless thighs. I can’t think of any reason that wouldn’t work just as well. The only thing really different would be the skin of the chicken. Ours wouldn’t have that crispy skin on it.

I haven’t tried this with boneless, skinless thighs, but think it could work. You will probably have to adjust the cooking time, so watch it closely the first time you make it to adjust it as needed.
