Meal Planning on a Budget
Aunt Lou here.
The main trick we are using for Budget Meal Plan: Week 35 is to use main recipes that have vegetables, beans or rice in them. Just adding in veggies, rice or beans, or sometimes a combination of them, makes a recipe heartier and more filling without making the bill for the groceries for the meal go up very much.
Just a friendly reminder that you can adjust any menu you find with our handy dandy Recipe Finder. If you are looking for a recipe with a specific ingredient, you can type it into the search bar once you click on the link above. Then, if you would like to further refine your search, click on the box beside what you want to help narrow your search. For example, if you would like only crock pot recipes, you can click the box by Crock Pot. This way you can quickly and easily find the recipes that best fit your needs and preferences.
Budget Meal Plan: Week 35
Monday: Cheesy Crock Pot Chicken with a side of Creamy Corn (Stove Top Recipe)
Tuesday: Leftover Cheesy Crock Pot Chicken and Creamy Corn
Wednesday: Beefy Crock Pot Fiesta Rice and Bean Bowl (This meal does not necessarily need a side dish since it has beef, beans and rice all in one. If you want a side dish, you can make a double batch of the Crock Pot Fresh Mexicorn on Wednesday and eat leftovers of both recipes on Thursday.)
Thursday: Leftover Beefy Crock Pot Fiesta Rice and Bean Bowl with optional side of Crock Pot Fresh Mexicorn
Friday: Slow Cooker Ham Steak Dinner (This is a one pot meal with your meat and two sides cooked all together.)
