If you don’t feel like putting together a menu this week, do not worry. I have you covered with Budget Meal Plan: Week 41.
Meal Planning on a Budget
Aunt Lou here.
Each week with the budget menus, I try to focus in on one money saving tip. That way you can use the recipes I have put together for your meals or have another tool at your disposal to make saving money easier with recipes you pick. Budget Meal Plan: Week 41 is no different. This week, we are going to focus on using rice, beans and vegetables in our meals. The reason this can save you money is that rice, beans and veggies, particularly canned veggies, are very filling but are generally more cost efficient than other ingredients. When everyone’s tummy is full of flavorful food they loved, and I haven’t spent a ton to make that happen, I consider that a win! As always, if any of the recipes in this menu do not suit the needs of you and/or those you are feeding, you can always search for alternative recipes that will work with our Recipe Finder.
Budget Meal Plan: Week 41
Monday: 4 Ingredient Crock Pot Pork Chops over a bed of white rice with a side of Crock Pot Buttered Cabbage
Tuesday: Leftover 4 Ingredient Crock Pot Pork Chops over a bed of white rice and leftover Crock Pot Buttered Cabbage
Wednesday: Crock Pot Chicken Baked Bean Dinner with an optional side of Creamy Crock Pot Corn
Thursday: Leftover Crock Pot Chicken Baked Bean Dinner and leftover Creamy Crock Pot Corn
Friday: Beefy Crock Pot Fiesta Rice and Bean Bowl (This recipe is a one pot meal, so you do not need a side. It is very filling on its own.)
