How to Make Angel Chicken Stuffing Casserole in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
Cris and I were discussing new recipe ideas the other day when she came up with an idea that made my ears perk up! She said we could take the flavors of our Crock Pot Angel Chicken (which we both LOVE) and make them into a casserole with stuffing like our Crock Pot Chicken Stuffing Casserole. I couldn’t wait to try it, and boy oh boy did this casserole meet and pass all my expectations!
If you have read many of my recipes, you will know that my favorite kind of recipes are the one that are easy to throw together and delicious to boot. This casserole checks off both those boxes. It can be thrown together in less than 10 minutes, and the flavor is worth of the Angel Chicken name. You are going to love it!
What You Will Need for Crock Pot Angel Chicken Stuffing Casserole
Ingredients Needed
- 2 lbs chicken tenders (You can use chicken breasts but will need to cut them into tender size pieces to keep the same cooking time.)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 box chicken stuffing, unprepared
- 8 oz tub chive and onion cream cheese spread
- 10.75 oz can cream of mushroom soup (You can use cream of chicken if you prefer.)
- 1 oz Italian dressing mix
Equipment Needed
- 2 medium mixing bowls
- 2 stirring spatulas
- Measuring cup
- Can opener
- Casserole Crock Pot or 6 quart crock pot (I prefer my casserole crock pot so everything can be spread out, but a 6 quart slow cooker will work as well.)
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 minutes or less

What is the angel sauce you mention in the recipe. I don’t see any ingredients for that.
The “angel sauce” is just the sauce that is in the crock pot when you are done cooking. It is a combination of the cream cheese spread, soup, Italian dressing mix and cooking juices all cooked together. When you serve this dish, you can use a spoon to get additional sauce out of the crock pot to spoon over your serving. Hope that helps!

Tried this recipe tonight. I used Cream of Chicken soup, but other than that, followed the recipe to the letter. I’m not a huge stuffing fan, but this Angel Chicken Stuffing Casserole has made a believer out of me-this was sooo good; I’m looking forward to leftovers tomorrow!
Yay, I’m so glad you enjoyed this recipe as much as we do! Thanks for letting us know. It makes my day to hear our readers love a recipe we have posted!
