How to Make Beef Cheddar Sliders in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
As you might have seen, I have been trying out all kinds of different combinations for the sliders everyone loves at parties. I have to tell you…this Crock Pot Beef Cheddar Sliders combo was awesome! All of the ingredients come together to give you an amazing flavor combination that just might be my favorite of all the sliders. And that is saying a lot since all the sliders are absolutely delicious.
The recipe for these sliders is very easy to throw together and doesn’t take much time at all to make. I have had success lifting all the sliders together with a very large spatula to place them on a cutting board to cut them apart. If your insert is not broiler safe or if you aren’t sure if it is, you could try to carefully remove all the sliders at once with a large flipping spatula (just be careful to not burn yourself on the insert!) and place them on a broiler safe pan. As always, watch them continually while broiling so you don’t burn them.

Crock Pot Beef Cheddar Sliders
Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian rolls kept together and not broke apart
- 1/2 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
- 8 slices Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup Butter melted
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onions
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
Instructions
- Place all the rolls on a large cutting board and take a large knife to slice all your rolls in half at the same time (do not break them apart) and gently remove the tops as one big piece.
- Layer roast beef slices on the bottom halves of the rolls that are still all connected.
- Layer cheddar cheese slices across the top of the roast beef.
- As one piece, place the top halves of your rolls back on top of the bottom part of the sliders.
- Pick up the cutting board and gently slide the sliders as one large loaf off the cutting board and into a casserole crock pot.
- In a small bowl or coffee cup, mix together remaining ingredients.
- Brush the tops of the sliders with the butter mixture liberally with a basting brush.
- Cover and cook on high for 1.5 to 2 hours, turning your insert halfway through if your slow cooker doesn't cook evenly.
- If desired and your insert is broiler safe, place your rolls on the lower rack in your oven with your broiler on high for 30-60 seconds to crisp up the tops. (Watch continually and do not walk away. You can go from perfection to burnt very quickly in a broiler.)
- Cut the sliders apart and serve
