How to Make French Toast Casserole in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

My family absolutely loves this Crock Pot French Toast Casserole. They get so excited when I make this. It is easy to put together and tastes great. My family enjoys this when it is first made and the leftovers. However, it would be great for serving a small group too!

One of the questions I get the most on the original recipe is what size of French bread loaf do I use. My normal grocery store only has one. However, when I was buying the ingredients this time, I bought them at a different store. This particular store did not have the big French loaf I usually buy. So, I bought two French baguettes and used my kitchen scale to figure out how many cups I needed of the baguettes to equal my one big loaf. I hope knowing how many cups of cubed French bread (or baguette) you need will help everyone out with whatever bread they have available.
