Can you believe it people? Your Sugar Princess, your Carb Queen is giving you a low carb recipe! I know…hard to believe. There is a reason why I love this recipe though. This Crock Pot Fresh Green Beans and Ham recipe is amazing! I love how all the different ingredients come together to give you such amazing flavor! It is so yummy!
I know that it seems like there is a lot of work to get this recipe going. It is not our normal dump and go or quick and easy recipe, however, this recipe is well worth the little bit of work it takes to put this together!
For all our low carbers out there, make sure you get a sugar free ham. Look at the nutrition label on the back of the ham to check and see. Also, if you are wanting to change up this recipe to fit your own taste, do not add too much more onion so you can keep it low carb. I highly recommend giving this recipe a try as is. I think you are going to love it!

- 2 lbs fresh Green Beans, rinsed and broken
- 5 cups ham, cubed
- 1 ham bone
- 32 oz chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt
- 1/4 cup onion, diced

- Cutting Board
- Large Bowl
- Colander
- Measuring Cups
- 6-quart Crock Pot
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cooking Time: 8-10 hours on low or 4-5 hours on high

Crock Pot Fresh Green Beans and Ham (Low Carb)
Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh Green Beans rinsed and broken
- 5 cups ham cubed
- 1 ham bone
- 32 oz chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt
- 1/4 cup onion diced
Instructions
- Put your green beans in the bottom of your 6-quart slow cooker
- Add your onions, garlic salt, onion, ham and broth
- Place your ham bone on top of everything
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until your beans reach your desired tenderness

OMG these are delicious! I am doing low carb so I did not add the potatoes and for the ham I used a 1 lb cottage ham. The flavor was amazing best green beans and ham I’ve ever had! Also used it two cans of green beans for the 1x recipe. 👌
