How to Make Good Gravy Rounds Steak for Two in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
This Crock Pot Good Gravy Round Steak for Two recipe is super simple and gives you fork tender beef with a tougher cut of beef. Why would I start with a tougher cut of beef? Beef has become quite expensive, and round steak is one of the cheaper options available, especially if you catch it on sale. By cooking it low and slow, you can have tender beef with an incredible gravy for a lower price point. I also use generic ingredients wherever possible. I am all about saving as much money as possible.
Here’s an extra little money saving tip: If you love basmati rice as much as my family does, buy the 20 lb bag. We have a container we put about a couple pounds in to cook from and store the rest. By buying the large bag, it almost cuts the cost per ounce in half! As an added bonus, we do not have to worry about running out of rice for quite a while!
