How to Make Lucky Charms Treats in a Crock Pot

Youtube video

Aunt Lou here.

Last time we were at Camp Lou-Da-Cris, I made up some yummy rice krispy treats. They were devoured! As we were enjoying them around the campfire, we started brainstorming other combinations for this recipe. Then it hit me! Crock Pot Lucky Charms Treats! Marshmallows within a treat made with marshmallows! Sounds good to this Sugar Princess.

I love how making them in a crock pot just makes it easy! That being said, if you have not tried melting marshmallows in a specific crock pot, watch it closely the first time you try it. I did not have the crock pot with me at camp that I usually use for melting marshmallows or chocolate, but I did have one that I have had great success with cakes on. So, I gave it a try, but watched it closely. I am SO glad I did! It cooked a little hotter than the crock pot I usually use, so I had to stir it a time or two more than usual. But, since I watched it closely the first time (like we recommend everyone do the first time!), all was well!
