Cris and I grew up in a meat and potatoes house. One of my favorites nights was meatloaf night, and I’m guessing Cris would agree when you look at how many Crock Pot Meatloaf Recipes we have on here. A good meatloaf recipe is a must. From the youngest to the oldest seated at your table, a great meatloaf recipe will receive compliments and requests for seconds from all!
When I first started cooking, I was quite intimidated by meatloaf. There just seemed to be so many ingredients and the thought of ruining a meatloaf was just not acceptable, so I wouldn’t even try. Fortunately, you have Cris and I to walk you through making these ah-mazing Crock Pot Meatloaf Recipes, so don’t worry at all. If I can cook, so can you! (Seriously, I made cookies once that wouldn’t bake no matter how long I had them in the oven, and I am the girl who was intimidated by a box of Hamburger Helper back in the day.) Love, love, love Meatloaf, unfortunately, hubby due to health issues can no longer eat beef (too difficult to digest.) Have you, or any fellow followers, tried using ground chicken (substituted for ground beef) in these crock pot meatloaf recipes and how or what needed to be modified to achieve success?? TIA

I haven’t tried chicken or turkey, so I can’t really say. If you do give it a try, we’d love to hear how it goes. My guess is you will likely need to reduce cooking times and watch closely not to dry it out since it will have a lot less fat.
