How to Make Pineapple Dump Cake in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

This delicious recipe has all the yumminess of a Pineapple Upside Down Cake, but I did not want to call it that for one reason…you do NOT want to try and flip this out of your crock pot. Trust me, dear readers, I tried, and it was not pretty. You can serve it up just find with a serving spoon and everyone will enjoy it!

If you are not proficient cutting butter with two knives, do not worry. To be honest, I am horrible at it with two knives. I highly recommend picking up a pastry cutter. As far as kitchen tools go, it really is not that expensive and makes cutting butter so incredibly easy that even I can do it. There are even videos on YouTube where you can watch people use one to see exactly how to make it work. Once you get the motions down, it is such an easy way to cut butter!

  1. Would there be such a thing as using a crock pot liner/bag and then, after cooling a bit, turning it upside down??

Hmmmm…I’m not sure Patty. It could possibly work, but I would definitely try it the first time when it doesn’t matter if it turns out pretty. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
