How to Make Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

Dear readers, this Crock Pot Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal is incredibly delicious, like blew my expectations out of the water delicious. You are going to love the taste and how simple it is to make! So, if you like pumpkin pie, then you want to try this recipe.

This recipe came about when one of our wonderful readers, Sharon, asked if we had a pumpkin oatmeal recipe. Lo and behold, we did not, and I was happy to try one out for you great folks.

So, if you have seen most of our other oatmeal recipes, they use steel cut oats. I planned on using steel cut oats for this recipe. However, I went to three stores and all three were out of steel cut oats! I actually bought some thinking I had finally found them, and when I got home discovered they were quick cook steel cut oats. I figured it was just a good reason to do something I had always wanted to do, try cooking old fashioned oats in the crock pot! This is was a fun experiment that turned out super yummy! And the leftovers are just as delicious if you want to make it ahead of time!

      Hi Judy!

Possibly. I have not tried it and haven’t ever made old fashioned oats in an instant pot, so I don’t have a recommendation on time. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
