How to Make Sesame Chicken in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
I was trying to think up a recipe that is easy to make, family friendly (in this house, that means picky eater friendly) and filling. When I served up this Crock Pot Sesame Chicken over a bed of white rice, it checked off all these boxes. My family absolutely loved having this for dinner and has asked me to make it again sometime very soon.
One of the great things about this recipe is that many of the ingredients in it quite possibly already in your cabinets. Even better, the ingredients that I did not already have were not expensive to purchase, and now I will have everything except the chicken just waiting around for me to make this delicious recipe again. So, it will be even cheaper next time I want to whip up this great recipe!

I have a question. I only have a 7 qt crockpot so does that change cook time or amount of ingredients I need? I can’t wait to try this, it looks soooo good.
I haven’t tried this recipe in a 7 quart slow cooker, but think it would work with the double broiler method. In case you aren’t familiar with this method, I’ll explain. Take a bowl that will fit inside your 7 quart insert and hold all of the ingredients of the recipe and put it inside your insert. Pour water into your insert (but outside the bowl) so that the water reaches no higher than halfway up the side of your bowl. Put all of your ingredients in the bowl, per the recipe, and cover and cook. The cooking time should be similar. As always, the first time you make a recipe, watch it closely and adjust the cooking for your specific slow cooker. I hope you enjoy this as much as my family and I do!
