If you have kids, this is a great recipe to make with them. Ryder, my 8 year old, and I made this together and had a blast! My baby boy is old enough now that he can help me, and I love watching him learn about safety in the kitchen, be it being careful around a hot stove or safety in handling meat. I have a feeling he will be quite the cook by the time he grows up!

We enjoyed this recipe for a wonderful Father’s Day dinner for Michael. It would also be a great recipe to take to a potluck. Everyone will love getting a piece of this yummy casserole!

      Hi Josh!

Yes, your ground beef is browned and drained before being put in your crock pot.

      Enjoy!

    2. Yes and drained.

  2. Sandra Ceremelli says:

When you say 2 cups macaroni cooked al dente; is that 2 cups dry or cooked?

    1. 5 stars
      Hi Sandra!

It is 2 cups of dry macaroni cooked al dente.

      Enjoy!

    2. Doyle C. Frazier says:

Al Dente is cooked about 80% (firm to the bite). If it was fully cooked it would get mushy.

    3. Al Dente is just not quite cooked as you would for a cold tuna casserole.. You need to cook them however they need to not quite done so they finish cooking in the crock pot. If you over cook they will become mush.

  3. Doyle C. Frazier says:

Have not made this yet but will be made soon. Why is it called Crock Pot Noodle Casserole when elbow macaroni was used? I was expecting to see egg noodles listed.

      Hi Doyle!

I haven’t tried this recipe with egg noodles, but think it could work. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
