What You Will Need for Crock Pot Taco Hash Browns
Ingredients Needed
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 oz packet taco seasoning
- 10.5 oz can cheddar cheese soup
- 26 oz bag frozen shredded hash browns, kept frozen
- 2 cups taco style or Mexican blend shredded cheese, divided
Equipment Needed
- Garlic press
- Skillet and strainer or micro cooker
- Meat chopper
- Safety can opener
- Spoon
- Extra large mixing bowl
- Stirring spatula
- Measuring cup
- 3.5 Quart Casserole Crock Pot or 6 Quart Crock Pot
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cooking Time: 3 to 4 hours on low or 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours on high, rotating your insert halfway through the cooking time, if your slow cooker does not cook evenly
- Optional Broiling Time: 2 to 3 minutes on high, if you would like to brown up the top a bit and your insert is broiler safe (If you use the broiler, make sure you do not walk away, watch it constantly. A recipe can go from perfection to burnt in a matter of seconds while in a broiler on high.)

Crock Pot Taco Hash Browns
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 oz packet taco seasoning
- 10.5 oz cheddar cheese soup
- 26 oz frozen shredded hashbrowns
- 1 cup Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese
- 1 cup Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese
Instructions
- Brown 1 lb ground beef with 2 cloves minced garlic and drain.
- In an extra large bowl, mix the beef with garlic, 1 oz packet taco seasoning, 10.5 oz cheddar cheese soup, 26 oz frozen shredded hashbrowns (kept frozen) and 1 cup Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese until well combined and spread into lightly greased 6-quart crock pot or casserole crock pot
- Top everything with 1 cup Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 1.5-2 hours
- If desired and using an oven safe crock, place in broiler on high for approximately 2-3 minutes to brown cheese on top. (If you use the broiler, make sure you do not walk away, watch it constantly. A recipe can go from perfection to burnt in a matter of seconds while in a broiler on high.)
