How to Make Easy Angel Beef Casserole in an Oven

This Easy Angel Beef Casserole oven recipe is perfect for a weeknight dinner. This hearty casserole can be thrown together in a 15 minutes and bakes up in 25 to 35 minutes. In less than an hour, you will have a piping hot, hearty casserole that is bursting with flavor.
My family loved this crock pot version of this recipe, so I had a hunch that they would love the oven version just as well. I was right. From my youngest to my husband, they all raved about how delicious dinner was and asked for more. What You Will Need for Easy Angel Beef Casserole (Oven Recipe)
Ingredients Needed
- 2 lbs lean ground beef, cooked and drained
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup sherry or beef broth
- 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
- 10.75 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 oz Italian dressing mix packet
- 7 cups frozen tater tots, kept frozen
Equipment Needed
- Skillet and strainer or micro cooker
- Butter knife
- Small microwavable bowl or coffee cup
- Measuring cup
- Can opener
- Spoon
- Large mixing bowl and hand mixer or stand mixer
- 9 x 13 casserole dish
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cooking Time: 25 to 35 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit, turning your casserole dish after 15 minutes, until tater tots have reached desired crispness

Easy Angel Beef Casserole
Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground beef browned and drained
- 1/4 cup Butter melted
- 1/2 cup cooking sherry or beef broth
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 10.75 oz Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 oz Package Italian Dressing Mix
- 7 cups frozen tater tots kept frozen
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, mix together everything except your ground beef and tater tots with a hand mixer or a stand mixer until well combined.
- Add your cooked and drained ground beef to the cream cheese mixture and gently mix until all of your beef is well coated.
- Spread out the cream cheese and beef mixture evenly in a lightly greased 9×13 casserole dish.
- Top everything with your frozen tater tots.
- Bake uncovered for 15 minutes, turn your baking dish and bake for an additional 10-20 minutes, until your tater tots have reached desired crispness.
