How to Make Easy Homemade Crepes on a Blackstone
Aunt Lou here.
Since we spend a lot of time camping, I thought it was high time to try out making these Easy Homemade Blackstone Crepes. That way we can have crepes even when I don’t want to be in the camper with the stove on. They are just as delicious on the Blackstone!
The original recipe I used in my stove top version (you can find that recipe here) came from my good friend Alison. She lives in Australia, and her mum got the recipe from Australian Women’s Weekly Recipe Cards in the 1970s. Her family has been using this recipe ever since. I did have to make a small adjustment to the original recipe since I cannot tilt my Blackstone from side to side to help the batter spread out. I added just a bit more milk so it will spread out well on its own. If you would like a thicker crepe, you can make them with the original recipe. When I tried it, they still tasted great. The crepes were just a little thicker than we wanted. So I tried again with the recipe you will find below, and it worked great!
