How to Make Easy Homemade Crepes on a Stove Top

Aunt Lou here.

I have always loved crepes, but I haven’t ever made them. I mentioned my love of crepes to my friend Alison. She told me she had a wonderful recipe for crepes and shared it with me. My family and I instantly fell in love, so I asked her if I could share it with you, my dear readers. She agreed and told me the story behind the recipe. You see, Alison is from Australia and had this recipe passed down to her from her mum who got it from the Australian Women’s Weekly Recipe Cards in the 70s. This has been a beloved recipe in her family for decades. I was honored she shared it with me.

With only four ingredients, this is a super simple recipe to make. It needs to sit for about 30 minutes. If you leave it longer than 30 minutes, it will start to thicken up a bit. No worries if this happens though. You can stir in a splash of milk until you get it back to the original consistency. They are amazing and cook up fast.

You can dress these Easy Homemade Crepes up with your preferred toppings. We love them with some fresh strawberries, a sprinkling of powdered sugar and whipped cream or with this yummy Crock Pot Strawberry Compote. You can choose your favorite toppings!
