Aunt Lou here.

I remember Mom making chili when I was little. We always said that when she made chili, she made enough to feed an army. That is still true to this day, and I carry on that tradition in my home.

This Easy Crock Pot Chili is a delicious way to fill up and warm up on a cold day!

We love adding mild breakfast sausage to our spaghetti, so I thought I would try out mom’s tried and true chili recipe in the crock pot with some breakfast sausage. And the result was this delicious Easy Crock Pot Chili.

  1. Doesn’t the macaroni get mushy if you cook it first?

      Hi Don!

The noodles aren’t mushy, but if you want more of an al dente pasta, you might cook the macaroni separately and spoon the chili over it right after boiling. Enjoy!

I’m anxious to try this chili recipe. And I also use the crockpot liners! They are great for easy clean up plus if we have leftovers we just lift the liner out and put it into a bowl and put that into refrigerator.

    Hi Barbara!

I love crock pot liners, I just put in there to spray your crock pot just in case someone doesn’t have them. Liners make clean-up a snap! Which is always a bonus in my book! I hope you enjoy this Easy Crock Pot Chili as much as we do!

  4. A different twist on chili. Will have to try this soon. Question……do you ever use crock pot liners? You usually recommend spraying crock. My husband, the dishwasher, loves them for the ease of clean-up

    1. Use my crockpot three or four times a week but never without a crock pot liner, clean up is so much easier and I can gather up leftovers liner and all and place in a container for warm ups in the crock pot later in the week.
