How to Make Easy Pesto Tomato Soup on a Stove Top

In my house, we love the crock version of this Easy Pesto Tomato Soup (you can find the crock pot recipe here). It is a super quick crock pot recipe, but I know as well as anyone that there are days when you need a really fast recipe. This soup recipe is just that. You can throw it together in no time flat, and it cooks up quickly.
This soup isn’t just an easy and fast recipe though. It also tastes amazing! The seasonings in your can of basil, garlic and oregano tomatoes and the pesto come together to you give you an incredibly flavored soup that is sure to please. Everyone in my house loved this recipe. It has seriously become one of our family favorite recipes. I keep pesto and basil, garlic and oregano in my fridge and pantry now just so I can make this recipe any time I want. It is that tasty and that easy to make. I hope you and your loved ones enjoy this recipe just as much as we do!
What You Will Need for Easy Pesto Tomato Soup
Ingredients Needed
- 14.5 oz can basil, garlic and oregano diced tomatoes, undrained
- 10.5 oz can condensed tomato soup
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons pesto sauce
Equipment Needed
- Can opener
- Measuring cup
- Measuring spoon
- Stirring Spatula
- Large saucepan with lid (If you are using a non-stick saucepan, you will want to put your soup in a large mixing bowl before you use your immersion blender so you don’t scratch your non-stick saucepan.)
- Immersion blender
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 2 minutes
- Cooking Time: 10 to 12 minutes over medium high heat
- Additional Time: 2 minutes to make the soup smooth

Easy Pesto Tomato Soup
Ingredients
- 14.5 oz Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Oregano and Garlic undrained
- 10.5 oz can tomato soup
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons pesto sauce
Instructions
- Pour all your ingredients into a large pot over medium high heat, and stir.
- Cover and cook for for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it just comes to a boil.
- Remove from heat and use an immersion blender to blend the soup to desired smoothness. (If you are using a non-stick pot, you will want to pour your soup into a large bowl before using the blender so you don't accidentally hurt your non-stick pot.)
