Meal Planning on a Budget
Aunt Lou here.
This week for Budget meal Plan: Week 16, we are going to be adding in some inexpensive ingredients to beef up our meals without putting a strain on your bank account. Does that sounds good to you? I know I love it when I can come home from shopping for groceries for the week and not cringe at how much I spent! I bet I am not the only one who feels this way. Just saying.
So what kind of inexpensive ingredients am I talking about exactly? I am talking about beans, frozen rolls, potatoes, frozen veggies or canned veggies. The addition of any one of these or a combination of them to a meal can help make the meal more filling in a cost effective way. These ingredients can be added to the main recipe in the crock pot, be used in a side to go along side your main dish or by serving your main dish on a bed of rice.
Budget Meal Plan: Week 16
Monday: Crock Pot Chicken Pot Pie Soup (This soup is a one pot kind of soup with your meat and veggies in it, so you don’t have to have another side with it unless you want to.)
Tuesday: Leftover Crock Pot Chicken Pot Pie Soup with optional side of Crock Pot Dinner Rolls
Wednesday: Apple Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin with Crock Pot Herb Potatoes
Thursday: Leftover Apple Crock Pot Pork Tenderloin with optional new side of Honey Butter Crock Pot Corn
Friday: Slow Cooker Red Beans and Sausage (With the beans, tomatoes, sausage and bed of rice, this recipe has it all without needing anything else.)
