How to Make Easy Pork Chops in a Slow Cooker
Aunt Lou here.
These Easy Slow Cooker Pork Chops are not only easy to make, they are delicious! Michael came up with this recipe using chicken (you can find the Easy Crock Pot Chicken recipe here). We got a great deal on some nice, thick cut bone-in pork chops, so I thought I’d give this recipe a try with pork! The results? Perfection!
On the original recipe, some readers asked why we used 24 ounces of cherry cola instead of just 12 ounces. The only answer I have for you is this: that is how Michael did it. I do like how the liquid covers the meat completely. That makes it so all the meat is getting the benefit of the tenderizing affects of cola. It is so yummy! You are gonna love it!
If you have fewer people to cook for, you can cut the recipe in half and use a smaller slow cooker. If have a larger crowd to cook for, there is plenty of room in a 6-quart crock pot to double this recipe. With both adjustments to the recipe, be sure to watch it closely the first time you make it to make sure you get your pork chops to the perfect internal temperature. That will make it so you have tender, flavorful and juicy pork chops to enjoy!
