How to Make Good Gravy Pork Roast in a Slow Cooker
Aunt Lou here.
Momma was on to something when she made up the original Good Gravy recipe. Since then, I have tried out the ingredients with a variety of different meats and cuts. It has never failed to make a delicious dish for dinner. This pork roast was no different! I love how easy this recipe is to make too. It might just become your new go-to pork roast recipe!
Crock Pot Good Gravy Pork Roast Notes:
- If possible, flip your roast about 3/4 of the way through cooking. It isn’t absolutely necessary, but will help your all your roast get tender more quickly.
- If your roast isn’t tender, give it a little bit more time.

I want to make this for Christmas. I can’t seem to find ‘Beefy’ Mushroom Soup. ??? Substitution?
Aunt Lou says
I haven’t tried this with any kind of substitution, but think that Golden Mushroom Soup might work. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out!
Monica says
I dont like pepper jack cheese… do i need to add this?
Aunt Lou says
Hi Monica!
I haven’t tried this without the pepper jack. The cheese gives the recipe a little kick (not too much though because I can’t handle spicy foods well) and helps to thicken the gravy. If you would like to try another cheese that you do like to thicken the sauce, let me know what you use and how it turns out!

I have a question will this recipe work for a butt pork roast?
Aunt Lou says
Hi LaDonna!
I haven’t tried this recipe with a pork butt roast, but think it should work. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
