  • If you use an 8-quart electric pressure cooker, you may want to use an extra 1/2 cup of broth to help bring it up to pressure.
  • You can find more electric pressure cooker recipes here:ย Electric Pressure Cooker Recipes
  • If you would prefer to use a slow cooker, you can use our Crock Pot Cajun Chicken instead.

  • Finally, all electric pressure cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes shouldย always be tested first in your own electric pressure cooker and time adjusted as needed.

  1. Does this recipe use quick pressure release at the end of 10 minutes, or should it be natural pressure release?

  3. how much time would you add if the chicken is frozen?

    1. 5 stars
      Hi Pat!

I haven’t tried making this recipe with frozen chicken. We test every recipe before posting it, especially with the Instant Pot, and don’t like to make recommendations without trying it first. Be sure you use a meat thermometer when you try it the first time to ensure your chicken has reached safe temperature. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
