How to Make Simple Chicken in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
I wanted to create a recipe that would be easy for anyone to throw together using the things they already have in their spice rack, drawer or cabinet (wherever you keep your spices…we actually keep ours in all three of those places! lol). This Simple Crock Pot Chicken recipe is truly that, it is super simple without lacking for flavor!
Michael actually helped me pull this one together. He uses this same mix of spices to pan fry up yummy chicken tenders for us all the time. Of course, he cooks like Momma cooks and never measures anything, but I have put together measurements to make it easier for you guys to recreate this delicious chicken main dish in your home!
If your crock pot cooks hot (like I know my 4-quart oval slow cooker does), start checking your chicken breasts around the one hour and fifteen minute mark. I know there are some slow cooker that will take around two hours to cook a chicken breast. However, if your slow cooker is a hot one, check them with a meat thermometer around an hour and fifteen minutes so you make sure you do not dry out your chicken.

I cook for a church to include anywhere from 50 to 80 guests. How can you make this in the oven and still have juicy chicken.
You can find the oven recipe here: https://www.recipesthatcrock.com/simple-chicken-oven-recipe/. If you look on the top of the recipe card, you will see a number of servings. You can adjust this number to fit your serving needs and the amounts in the card will adjust for you. Hope this helps!
This sounds really good! I always have boneless skinless chicken breasts in the freezer and, of course, an over-abundance of spices. Looking forward to making this!
Thanks for your kind words! I hope you love it as much as we do!
