I just made potatoes, Italian green beans, smoked sausage and a small head of cabbage. It made enough for me to bag up 2 more meals for the freezer. Next time I might add a little more cabbage. So very yummy. Thank you for you recipes. I have made several of your and then have created some of them on my own. I really like making the 5# ground beef in crock and bagging it up into 1# freezer bags. Also I do chicken breast and shreded or dice into 1# freezer bags. So much of a time saver. I have taken a 1# ground beef and heated it up add a can of manwich then mix it into a shell mac & cheese. and serve a veggie with it. Thanks again for you recipes.

  6. It’s hard to cook for two, so I love my crockpot to make big batches of baked beans or chili and freeze in portions. Defrost and reheat in my small crockpot and we have a side dish to go with whatever we BBQ all summer long and no hot kitchen.

Potato salad is my favorite summer dishes, but I only make my moms. She always called it German potato salad but later when I got older I found out it wasnโ€™t. Itโ€™s mustered base but always takes me back to being a kid. And now with mom gone it always make me fill like she still here.

I use my crock pots all year long. The absolute favorite recipe would have to be my sherry teriyaki pork tenderloins. I have to double the recipe, and I still never have any left overs. My other favorite is the Mississippi beef roast. That is so good. I love it when I can put everything in the crock pot in the morning, and have dinner waiting when I get home.

  20. My favorite summer meal? BBQ ribs, baked beans, homemade slaw and biscuits! Love your website I make at least one meal a week inspired by this site!

  21. We love our green beans from the garden with sausage and potatoes. And then of course it is a treat to have a cobbler or cake in the crock pot without heating up the kitchen. Great and easy way to have supper on the table after a day of work and gardening.

  22. Amelia Inman says:

My husbandโ€™s new favorite potato recipe is the scalloped cheesy potatoes. I added in crumpled bacon on the top and it sent it over the edge. He is a fireman, and he liked them so much that he got the recipe to make for his crew the next night for his shift. He doesnโ€™t like to eat the same thing two nights in a row! I call that a win!!!

  23. I’m making spare ribs in the crock!
