How to Make Sweet Potato Casserole in an Oven
Aunt Lou here.
Around 15 years ago, I had Sweet Potato Casserole for the very first time and immediately asked for the recipe to this sweet piece of heaven. The following year, I made it for everyone at Mom and Dad’s house. Mikey immediately declared that I was to bring it back every single year, and I have been happy to do it.
I have already post where I made this in the crock pot (you can find the crock pot version of recipe here), but I also wanted to share the oven version with you. Now you can make this in your oven or in your crock pot if you don’t have room in your oven. Win, win! This is one of our must-have dishes at our family holiday dinners, and I am so happy to share it with you. I hope you and your loved ones enjoy it just as much as we do!

Can your sweet potato casserole be made with russet potatoes?
I don’t think that would work well. The sweet potatoes produce a sweet casserole while russets are typically used in savory dishes. Hope that helps.
