How to Make Tater Tot Beef Pot Pie in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
When I say that my family loved this recipe, I mean it! My kiddos love carrots, but are not fans of peas. Guess what?! They devoured everything in their bowls. So that means they had potatoes, peas and carrots without a single complaint. It was wonderful! I’m always looking for delicious meals that have my kids eating their veggies without complaint.
I absolutely love an easy recipe. However, you don’t want an easy recipe just because it is easy to make. You need a recipe that the people seated at your table will love to eat as well. This Tater Tot Crock Pot Beef Pot Pie recipe checks off both of those boxes! This is essentially a dump and go recipe. The only extra steps are to pull the beef apart with two forks and to mix the gravy packets with your broth. That’s it. Otherwise, you are just dumping everything in the crock pot. So easy!

I don’t have a 4 quart pot, I have a 8 quart pot, but I do have a casserole crock pot. Do you think that will work?
I haven’t tried this in a casserole crock pot, it might work. You might need to add some more tots to cover everything. Not sure. Or you could use an oven safe type bowl that fits in your 8 quart and put the ingredients in it with a little water in the insert (not the bowl). If you give it a try in either, watch it closely the first time so you can adjust the cooking time as needed. Let me know how it goes if you do try it!
